If you have been in
the industry for any
length of time and
managed to survive,
you have already
learned the
importance of
marketing.
If you have honed
your skills to a
fine edge, you
probably already
learned about the
differences between
MARKETING and
RE-MARKETING.
What you might
NOT be aware of,
however, is that if
you are a current
user of our on-line
ordering engine,
DataWedge has
programs that help
you in both of these
areas at no
additional cost to
you.
On the MARKETING
front,
Meal Monger's
job is to attract
NEW CUSTOMERS to
your service, paying
for the advertising
and costs associated
with customer
acquisition over the
internet.
On the re-marketing
front, DataWedge has
the ability to
create, send and
TRACK email
campaigns sent out
to email address
contained in your
database.
The person in charge
of both of these
projects is the
newest member of the
DataWedge team, Liz
Sniegocki. Her
job is to assemble
and manage internet
marketing campaigns
as a value-add
service back to our
web customers.
In short: her
job is to help you
get orders over the
internet.
Some examples of
previous campaigns
sent out of the past
few months can see
seen below:
Our protocol for
initiating a
campaign is fairly
loosely defined.
Simply email Liz by our email form, CLICK HERE.
Send along any logos
you wish to use, and
the "rough idea" of
the contents of the
campaign subject
material. She
will then respond
with the next window
of time that is
available for a
campaign to be sent
out, and will begin
the process of
drafting up the
graphics involved in
the campaign.
(Note: normally, we
like to see about 4
weeks of lead time
for this process).
Once a proof is
agreed upon, the
date for the
campaign is hard
set, and the mailers
are sent out.
After the campaign
starts, you will be
issued a link that
you can use to TRACK
and see the success
of the campaign,
including how many
times the
advertisement was
OPENED, how many
times it was
actually CLICKED
THROUGH, and how
many orders were
generated as the
result of the
campaign).
Over time, we
have gained a small
amount of wisdom in
our marketing
efforts. One
of the biggest items
noted is that
customers simply do
not like to be
barraged with
mindless, useless
email. The
worst thing that
could happen is to
have a customer
simply "opt-out" of
future
notifications,
effectively closing
the door on such an
inexpensive method
of marketing.
For this reason,
we enforce the
notion of the
campaigns have
something USEFUL to
say, and are SPARING
in their frequency.
You don't want to
annoy the very
customers you are
trying to market to.
Again, this
marketing comes as a
value-add service
back to our
customers; it
carries no
additional cost to
you. I invite
you to drop an
email to Liz and
start the process of
igniting a marketing
campaign for your
service!
FAQ OF THE
